1. What Router Is

Router is a self-directed digital wellbeing tool. When you open an app you've chosen to guard, Router's Gateway opens first, and you decide from there whether to continue. You control which apps are guarded and how the app behaves. Router does not monitor, report to, or give control to any third party (including a parent or guardian) — see Section 8.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Router, and Apple's own terms may require you to be older in your country. The app asks for your date of birth when you start and won't let anyone under 13 continue. You need an active Apple Account and a compatible iOS device. Account creation requires signing in with Sign in with Apple. Because a date of birth can't be verified, the app applies its strictest privacy protections to anyone it can't verify as an adult — see Section 7 of the privacy policy.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your Apple Account credentials secure. We don't have access to your Apple Account password or authentication — sign-in is handled entirely by Apple. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at aj@tryrouter.co.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Router, except where applicable law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction.
• Use Router to circumvent, disable, or interfere with another person's use of their own device or its parental/family controls, where those controls belong to someone other than you.
• Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through the catalog or support/feedback features.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

5. The App Catalog

If you suggest an app for Router's catalog, you're granting us the right to use that suggestion to improve the catalog for all users. Don't send us anything you don't have the right to share, or anything false or misleading.

Some apps can only be reached through an ordinary web address, rather than a link that only that app can claim. Where a suggestion would include a web address, we don't record it at all — so in that part there is nothing for you to grant us.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

Router is free to use with one guarded app. A paid subscription lets you guard as many apps as you like and set Focus Schedules. The free tier is not time-limited, and you are never charged without choosing to subscribe.

Free trial. If your Apple Account has not had a Router subscription or free trial before, your subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, and Router shows you the trial and the monthly price that follows it before you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid monthly subscription at that price, and Apple charges your Apple Account when the trial ends. Apple allows one free trial per Apple Account. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged, and Router carries on as described under "What happens when it ends" below.

Price and billing. The price is shown in Router before you subscribe, and on Router's App Store listing. The subscription is billed by Apple to your Apple Account, not by us, in the currency Apple uses for your region. We never see or handle your card details.

Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Apple charges your Apple Account within 24 hours before the end of each period. If you do not want it to renew, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Cancelling. Cancel at any time in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions on your device — or through Manage subscription in Router's own settings, which opens the same place. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep the subscription until that period runs out.

The subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to your Router account. Three things follow from that:

• Anyone signed into your Apple Account on your device can use the paid features there.
• A subscription bought on one Apple Account cannot be moved to another.
• Restoring your purchase is how you carry it to a new phone.

Deleting your Router account does not cancel your subscription. It belongs to your Apple Account, not to the account you are deleting, so Apple will keep charging you until you cancel it in one of the places above. Do that first.

What happens when it ends. Router does not delete anything. Your first app stays guarded and keeps working exactly as it does on the free tier. Any other apps you had set up are kept exactly as you left them, but Router stops guarding them; your Focus Schedules are kept but stop running. You choose which app stays guarded by putting it at the top of your apps list. Subscribing again switches everything back on with nothing to set up a second time.

Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple's to give. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase ourselves, though we would rather hear from you than not — support@tryrouter.co.

Your cancellation rights under consumer law. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you may have a statutory right to cancel a purchase made at a distance within 14 days of making it. That right exists separately from anything in this section, and nothing here removes it. Because Apple is the seller, Apple's own process at reportaproblem.apple.com is how you exercise it.

Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will tell you and ask you to agree before the new price is charged. If you do not agree, the subscription ends at the end of the period you have paid for.

Free access. We may grant a subscription at no charge — to beta testers, for example. A granted subscription isn't billed and doesn't renew; we may end it with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual Property

Router, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by AJP Technologies Ltd. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's own Usage Rules. This licence doesn't give you any ownership rights in the app itself.

8. Family and Parental Controls

Router uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to detect and intercept app usage on your own device. This is a self-directed feature, not a parental monitoring tool — Router does not give any other person, including a parent or guardian, visibility into or control over your usage, and it is not designed to be installed on a device by someone other than its primary user.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Router is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, about the app's fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

In the event Router fails to conform to any warranty that does apply, and you purchased it through the App Store, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no further warranty obligation, and any other claim is our responsibility, not Apple's.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AJP Technologies Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Router. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Router and delete your account at any time — see the privacy policy for what happens to your data when you do, and Section 6 for what happens to a subscription, which deleting your account does not cancel. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including the acceptable use provisions in Section 4.

12. Apple as a Third Party

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and AJP Technologies Ltd only, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Router. You and we both acknowledge that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For a material change — anything affecting what you pay, what you get, or how your data is handled — we'll ask you to accept the updated Terms in the app. For a minor change, such as a correction or a clearer wording of something that hasn't changed, we'll flag the update in the app, and continuing to use Router means you accept it.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
